Our Concerts

Customarily we perform three concerts a year. These are usually major works for the Autumn and Spring performances and a collection of smaller, lighter pieces for the Summer concert. We perform at a variety of venues in the Reading area, but most frequently at St Joseph's College which has the benefit of familiarity (being the place where we practice) and the availability of abundant car parking, as well as providing a brilliant hall for our performances.

We are frequently joined in our performances by professional musicians.  These include both instrumentalists, who make up small orchestras or ensembles to accompany the choral works, and soloists.  These professionals often agree to perform in their own right to add to and enhance the choral programme.

In addition to the three major performances, we also hold a carol concert in mid-December typically either at a local church, or St Joseph's College. The profits are donated to local charities, recently to Launchpad, Reading's leading homelessness prevention charity.

Our next performance will be our Summer concert on Sunday June 23rd. We will be performing:

Bob Chilcott's Nidaros Jazz Mass, John Rutter's The Sprig of Thyme and other select morsels at St John the Evangelist Church in Mortimer.
